Top Picks
Although we had previously experienced a slow and steady increase in TBR listings throughout 2018, we are currently in a downward trend. The .CA TBR domain listings for August 8th checks in at 6,734, and when combined with the 7,430, 8,198 and 7,684 entries from the last three weeks, that gives us a weekly average of 7,511 TBR domains, down once again from last week’s 7,770.
The overall domain quantity is trending down and the single and multi-word quality is definitely being impacted by the lower TBR numbers. Thankfully, after a strange week where only a pair of LLL domains hit the list, we’re back to our usual supply this week. This is also where most of our Top Picks will be, including GNN.CA, QFN.CA and the ultra-premium TNE.CA, and with the premium word selection being almost nonexistent (other than the TM domain LOTTARIO.CA), we’re highlighting a very good week in Crypto/Bitcoin domains with BITCOINTRUST.CA and BTCBANK.CA.
GNN.ca – A semi-premium LLL that fits the criteria for a top pick, as the ending “N” can be used for National, Net, News, etc.
QFN.ca – This one is tougher, as “Q + F” is clearly not a premium LLL, but with the inexplicable TBR heat in this area, it will probably fly off the list early.
TNE.ca – This ultra-premium LLL is definitely the crown jewel on the list, especially as it features three of the most-used letters in the English language, and the ending “E” can stand for Enterprise(s), Exchange, Equity, etc.
Lottario.ca – This domain represents a potential TM issue, but there are those out there who like to play that game…

There are a whopping 12 leftover LLL domains, but these all have some issues, such as containing at least one undesirable character (J, Q, X, Y, Z), and/or the letter combination is too low-end to hit our Top Picks. There are really no second-best picks this week, as none have a premium ending letter like “C”, “I”, “E”, or “S” without serious problems with the first two letters.
One of the most important factors of lower-end LLL.CA domains like these is the presence of a company, especially a large North American multinational, using the corresponding .COM.
