Top Picks
The TBR listings display a very small drop this week, falling by almost 300 domains compared to last week. The positive upward trend we saw then has disappeared and we’re back to a decline. The number of .CA TBR domains for October 3 checks in at 6,854 and when combined with the 7,141, 6,441, and 6,917 entries from the previous three weeks, this gives us a new and lower (by a whopping 115) weekly average of 6,838 TBR listings through the prior month.
The overall domain quantity and quality has dropped a bit this week, but last week was one of the stronger TBR lists for word domains we’ve ever seen. That still translates into a very good TBR list for buyers, even if the number of LLL options are still very low. This week our Top Picks include BBT.CA, PWN.CA, INSIST.CA, TOOK.CA, and THROW.CA.
BBT.ca – A very nice letter combination, especially the ending “T” which can be used for Technology, Trust, Trade, etc.
PWN.ca – Not quite as good as the above LLL, but it also has the PWN online meaning (OWN) to rely on. The ending “N” could be for National, Network, News. etc.
Contempt.ca – A single word with a strong, if potentially negative, meaning.
Insist.ca – Another strong single word that denotes perseverance and forcefulness.
Throw.ca – An short action word that is well recognized and may even have some sports-based uses.
Took.ca – Four letter words are rare to find on the TBR list, and it could have financial or hospitality uses.

There are 5 LLL leftover domains this week (compared to 4 last week and 2 the week before that) and once again, none had even a remote shot of making our Top Picks. All of these have some issues, such as containing at least one undesirable character (J, Q, X, Y, Z), and/or the letter combination is too low-end to hit our Top Picks. Of the remaining low-end LLL domains, CLX.ca (“Clicks” phonetically) is likely the best of a very bad lot, but these will have very limited use in the small Canadian business market.
One of the most important factors of lower-end LLL.CA domains like these is the presence of a company, especially a large North American multinational, using the corresponding .COM.

MZT.ca – No resolving .COM company.
VLZ.ca – The .COM resolves to a holding page for Cam Velez.
