Top 10 Trending Keywords in .COM and .NET Registrations for November
Verisign has released their Top 10 Trending .COM and .NET English Keywords for November 2017. These are the most popular registration keywords used during the month, and can give us an inside view of the hottest trends, news, styles, events, and even people, as it applies to registered .COM and .NET domain names.
So it should come as no surprise that CryptoCoin terms linked to Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin have taken the Versign chart by storm and effectively hold down nine of the top ten spots for .COM and five of the top ten for .NET. The only .COM trending keyword that totally breaks the mold is AMAZON, and that is likely because the company has gone on a registration binge lately, covering a wide range of business areas, topics and keywords. The .NET selection is far more diverse, and while the top three are Crypto-related, the next two keywords are not, and the rest of the list is a mix.
In both cases, the top .COM and .NET keywords are remarkably similar, with COIN topping the list on both, and BIT and CRYPTO are sitting in the next two positions. This mirrors the domain sales charts right now, as CRYPTO, COIN and ETHER related domains are selling like mad and continue to dominate the domain name auction houses.
