GoDaddy’s Domain Closeout Sales take place between a) when a domain drops/expires and b) the point where the domain is officially deleted and sent back to the registry for anyone to buy at any Registrar. Within this time period, GoDaddy offers these closeout domains up for immediate sale at a slight premium + registration fees.
This isn’t the place to go looking for LLL.COM domains or premium one-word .COM names, but there are usually some nice deals hidden within the GoDaddy Closeout listings and we’ve tried our best to find some of the hidden gems and potential values.

Closeouts – High Valuations
When looking at the Closeout domains with the highest valuations, you really need to take along your BS detector, as it’s often a morass of super-long .COM keywords and dubious new gTLDs mixed in with a few domain names that might actually be useful in 2018.
High Valuations – .COM, .NET, .ORG
We have now split the High Valuations section out between the old and new guard, starting off with the .COM, .NET and .ORG domains, in order of GoDaddy valuation. We’re trying something a bit different today, and only listing the newest closeouts with the highest values. It’s tough to see the difference at first, but it does weed out some dogs, while highlighting others like iMiracles.com, TradesFast.com and HongKongIndex.com.

In the Other section (which covers all the non-.COM/.NET/.ORG extensions) the list is still mostly .TV domains but there is more diversification than usual. Word Domain Closeouts
It is very difficult to find viable word domains in the Closeout section, especially at the .COM level, as the majority of even mid-level words are long gone at the auction stage. In today’s .COM section, we managed to find words like Misremember.com, Overconscious.com and Constrictive.com, while Informable.net, Moded.org, Rationalized.net, and Gunships.org are some of the better .NET/.ORG word domains.

New gTLD and ccTLD Word Domain Closeouts
This new gTLD/ccTLD section exists just below the COM/NET/ORG triumvirate, and exactly which domain extension you’re talking about determines how steep the drop-off is. On the positive side, you can often find shorter and better quality words in this segment and sure it’s a .WS, but Sushi.ws is our favorite word in this list.
