Sedo Weekly Domain Sales Report

Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

Our Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers domain sales from November 25 to December 2. We begin this recap with the top sale of the week fruitwraps.com, which went for $27,300 USD and was followed closely by joblist.com at $20,000 USD. There were four other .COM domain sales that reached 5-figures in USD, including verway.com (15,000 EUR), mobiler-part2.com ($16,000 USD), cloudestate.com ($15,000 USD), and dwallet.com (9,500 EUR). In all, we counted a total of 41 Sedo .COM transactions of $2,000 or higher this week, which is small increase from the 38 similar sales from last week, but still a big drop compared to the 59 domains of 2 weeks back.

The ccTLD section starts off with a pair of similar domain sales, as sanierungsprofi.de sold for 17,850 EUR and playfab.cn reached $17,250 USD. Other notable ccTLD domains included feed.fr (7,000 EUR), videoslots.id ($4,999 USD), hiq.de (3,500 EUR), nachos.fr ($2,500 USD), and forsale.eu ($2,000 USD). Overall, this week’s chart featured 16 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (roughly equivalent to both the 15 sales of last week and the 16 qualifying transactions of the week before that), with the overall auction leaders sorting out in this order: .DE (5 listings), .FR (3), .EU (2), and single entries for .CH, .CN, .CO, .ID, .NL, and .TV.

Last week, we got back to basics with the old school .ORG and .NET contingent taking over after an unprecedented chart domination by the new gTLD crowd the week before. This recap is more of the same, as the old guard took 4 out of the 6 spots, headlined by listen.net selling for $5,500 USD. The new gTLD crop included ico.asia at $5,000 USD and euro.digital reaching 4,000 EUR, but that was as far as they got. This time out we had a total of 6 Other sales of $2K or higher, which is just slightly down from both the 7 similar transactions of last week and the 7 Other domains that charted 2 weeks ago.
