Sedo Weekly Domain Sales Report
Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher. This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .NET, .ORG and other gTLDs.
The Sedo Weekly Domain Name Sales Recap for February 13 moves away from the “one major sale” trend of 2018, and there is not a single domain name that hit 6-figures. In the .COMs bracket, the CryptoCoin-related bitkey.com sits in the top spot at $25,000 USD and potpourri.com was not far behind at $22,500 USD. Other solid domain sales include hichat.com ($16,800 USD), alty.com (9,650 GBP), norebo.com (9,900 EUR), and universa.com (8,500 EUR). There are a few multi-word domains on display like salespal.com ($10,000 USD), earthtoday.com ($10,000 USD) and bigcat.com ($9,500 USD), while coinect.com ($8,999 USD) has obvious Crypto connections.
The ccTLD section of the chart is not that much different, as ngin.de was the lone 5-figure domain transaction and sold for 11,900 EUR, followed closely by audiolibri.it and trustless.io at 8,600 EUR and $10,000 USD, respectively. Other interesting ccTLD sales include the 2-character bc.fi going for 5,000 EUR, payable.io checking in at 4,950 EUR, and paybit.co selling for $5,000 USD. The only other characteristic of note is the sheer number of $2K+ sales in this section, far outpacing the Other domains and even coming relatively close to the .COMs results.
Surprisingly, there was not a single domain sale to hit 5-figures in the Other category, with the top Sedo listing being drgrammar.org at $8,540 USD. $7,725 USD looks like a solid purchase price for the single-word effect.net, but the 1-letter (plus 4-letter domain extension) new gTLD n.rich selling for a whopping $5,000 USD is a bit surprising. A pair of .NET sales, wetech.net ($3,900 USD) and pacto.net ($2,500 USD), and a set of .INFO domains, ton.info (2,250 EUR) and mountainview.info ($2,500 USD), help close out this list of only eight qualifying domains.
