Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a sales list of their top domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher. This chart is separated into three sections, the .COMs, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .NET, .ORG and other gTLDs.

The Sedo Weekly Domain Name Sales Recap for January 30 follows a familiar trend with one massive domain sale dwarfing all others. This time it’s carstore.com going for $82,500 USD, well ahead of the subsequent domain sales of addhome.com (13,500 EUR), hbus.com ($12,500 USD), masteroil.com (9,800 EUR), and systemize.com ($10,000 USD). There are also a few pronounceable LLLLL and LLLLLL.com domains on the chart like oaio.com ((8,000 EUR), flavis.com (4,800 EUR), hegla.com (4,500 EUR), and natria.com ($3,00 USD).

There is also a major sale in the ccTLD section of the chart, as live.us sold for $26,000 USD, which is a very significant amount for a .US domain. Other top listings include the LL domain ps.co.uk (12,800 GBP), care.us ($12,000 USD), read.io ($10,000 USD), and an unprecedented third .US domain, car2go.us ($5,999 USD). By taking 3 out of the top 5 ccTLD auction results, the unquestioned surprise this week is the very unexpected resurgence of .US domain names.

In the Other domain category, the top sale was nano.org for a whopping 10,000 GBP, followed by main.net at $12,500 USD, sneaky.org going for $4,677 USD, and host.xyz selling for $3,999 USD. There are two other .ORG domains and one more .NET domain in the remaining four spots and it’s nice to see this market segment getting a little more action. There are some great values to be had here, especially in the undervalued .ORG domain space, and it looks like some buyers are starting to figure this out.
