Sedo Weekly Domain Sales Report
Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.
The Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers from May 21 to May 27 and to start, lawleader.com sold for a healthy $19,888 USD, followed by the other 5-figure USD domains: zofu.com ($14,500 USD), weddingdream.com (10,000 EUR), money3.com (9,900 EUR), and clearsuite.com ($10,000 USD). Other interesting .COM sales include iteacher.com at $7,500 USD, cointraffic.com for $6,200 USD and both skyzer.com and xuper.com hitting $8,000 USD. This week there were 48 Sedo .COM sales of $2,000 or higher, which is slight decrease compared to the 52 transactions of last week but a nice jump next to the 35 listings from two weeks ago.
The ccTLD section of the Sedo chart also starts with a relatively big transaction, as sofortpay.de sold for 12,000 EUR, while sonnen.at hit 9,999 EUR and lasvegas.es went for 9,000 EUR, with all three effectively surpassing 5-figures in USD. There were also a couple of short domains on the list, as dif.co ($5,900 USD) and td.de (4,100 EUR) did well, and .DE continued its reign by holding down final three positions with seewirtschaft.de, extrageld.de and seelenwaermer.de. Overall, the chart contained 11 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (down from both the 19 sales last week and the 17 from the week before that), and the overall auction leaders came out in this order: .DE (5 listings) and single entries for .AT, .CO, .CO.UK, .ES, .EU, and .RU.
This week, the Other domain section seems to be casting off the past and fully embracing the future. The top two entries are new gTLDs, as shows.nyc sold for $5,511 USD and fly.network was very close by with a sale price of $5,500 USD. The show wasn’t over there, as cyber.pro also hit the list by going for an even 2,000 EUR. The .NET extension accounted for two domain sales, solana.net ($3,096 USD) and oberlo.net ($2,200 USD), while freelancing.org ($2,900 USD) was the lone .ORG domain sale.
