On September 5 at 2PM EST, 142 .CA domain names were selected from the TBR list, which is a slight drop compared to the 153 domains taken last week, but is equivalent to the 141, and a big jump from the 78, .CA names that were chosen the previous two weeks. Historically, .CA TBR runs usually hit above 100, and after another above-average result, we’ve jumped up to just over 128 as our 4-week average.
The TBR selection process takes place in 5-second intervals or rounds, so it is important to look at the list and domain names in this manner, as well as noting that prospective buyers are a varied mix of companies, web developers, investors and speculators.
This week’s .CA TBR list highlighted an nice increase in both the quantity and quality of single-words, and also a drop in the number of LLL domains, but overall it was a another good week for the TBR list. Our Top Picks were a mixed bag, with PIXEL.CA going first overall, but others like 686.CA and IUR.CA were more middle of the list. It was quite strange to see the earliest NNN.ca hit at 32, with the remainder in the 50’s and 60’s – these rarely appear on the list, especially without leading zeroes.
