Top Picks
After a bit of a downward correction in the trends over the last few weeks, we are firmly back in a upward trend, as we follow up the 800+ domain increase of last week with a bump of almost 1,100 TBR domains for this week. The .CA TBR domain listings for August 22 check in at 8,666, and when combined with the 7,569, 6,734, and 7,430 entries from the previous three weeks, that gives us an average of 7,599 TBR domains through the prior month, up from last week’s average of 7,482.
The overall domain quantity showed a nice spike from last week, and although we’re not seeing a huge increase in premium names at the top-end, there is still a lot of quality domains available this time out. We also had an easier time compiling our Top Picks list this week, and along with the obligatory QAC.CA, we really like LILY.CA, HASHTAG.CA and CRYPTOBANK.CA.
QAC.CA – This is not by definition a premium LLL, but as this is a very weak TBR list for LLL’s and the ending “C” doesn’t hurt, it’s simply the best of a bad lot.
Lily.ca – This is a nice 4-letter domain, as not only does it double as a flower and a girl’s name, it also evokes a positive feeling.
Pail.ca – This is tougher to envision as monetizing opportunity, but it’s still a highly-recognizable 4-letter word and these don’t pop up that often.
BonCafe.ca – French domains can be a tougher sell, but this is a very common two-word saying that pops up all the time in conversation.
Hashtag.ca / Hashtags.ca – While we prefer the singular version of the term, it’s is interesting that both are available this week.
CryptoBank.ca – There are a few interesting Crypto domains on the TBR list, but due to its generic words and wide usage options, this is our favorite.

Other LLL.CA Domains
There are only 2 LLL leftover domains this week (compared to 17 last week and 12 the week before that) so it’s definitely slim pickings in this area. All of these have some issues, such as containing at least one undesirable character (J, Q, X, Y, Z), and/or the letter combination is too low-end to hit our Top Picks. Of the remaining low-end LLL domains, there is really no second place, and even the ending letters are low-end.
One of the most important factors of lower-end LLL.CA domains like these is the presence of a company, especially a large North American multinational, using the corresponding .COM.

Brandable / Pronounceable Domains
With the growth of hipster brandable domains (pronounceable names that may also phonetically evoke another term or idea: i.e. Simplii = Simply) we’ve incorporated this section into our TBR picks. Some of these may find uses online, like Cruisin.ca, Yippy.ca, Kaoz.ca, and Gelly.ca.

There are also a lot of old school “e” and “i” prefix terms like eBag.ca and iFunding.ca that may still be of interest in 2018.
