GoDaddy Domain Closeouts Recap

GoDaddy’s Domain Closeout Sales take place between a) when a domain drops/expires and b) the point where the domain is officially deleted and sent back to the registry for anyone to buy at any Registrar. Within this time period, GoDaddy offers these closeout domains up for immediate sale at a slight premium + registration fees.

This isn’t the place to go looking for LLL.COM domains or premium one-word .COM names, but there are usually some nice deals concealed within the GoDaddy Closeout listings and we’ve tried our best to find some of the hidden gems and potential values.

Please click on the provided domain links to determine the current price and availability of each domain closeout.

Closeouts – High Valuations

When looking at the Closeout domains with the highest valuations, you really need to take along your BS detector, as it’s often a morass of super-long .COM keywords and dubious new gTLDs mixed in with a few domain names that might actually be useful in today’s online world. Both valuation lists have been heavily edited to delete the various outliers and oddities.

The High Valuations sections have been split out between the King of Domains – .COM. the .NET/.ORG contingent, then to close it off, the new gTLDS and ccTLDs. All are presented in order of GoDaddy valuation with some careful curating on our part.

High Valuations – .COM

Beginning with the .COM closeouts, there are several viable domains in this area including WorkMeasures.com, SideTurf.com, TrashDigital.com, SwissRetirement.com, CreditOpinion.com, and OfficeEmployee.com.

Word Domain Closeouts

It is often difficult to find viable word domains in the Closeout section, especially at the .COM level, as the majority of even mid-level words are long gone at the auction stage. It’s a lot of work parsing down the .COM/.NET/.ORG single-words from the entire list, but we managed to find a few potentials like Appetizing.org, Imbecile.net, Humanely.org, Preceding.net, and Repractice.com.

Appetizing.org

Other gTLD and ccTLD Word Domain Closeouts

The gTLD/ccTLD word section exists just below the COM/NET/ORG triumvirate, and exactly which domain extension you’re talking about determines how steep the drop-off is. On the positive side, you can often find shorter and better quality words in this segment such as Buffets.biz, Consultation.cc, Hubs.me, Leafed.us, and Pauper.us.

3-Letter Domain Closeouts

Obviously this is not the place to go looking for high-end gTLDs, as any LLL domain that hits closeout status is going to be of a lower-tier extension. There are still deals to be found, especially if the abbreviation fits your business or investment use. Today’s LLL list offers a selection of .BIZ and .ME extensions, and in terms of letter combinations, we like GCL.me, HRA.biz, LPN.biz, NRF.biz, and VNI.me.

Aged .COM Domain Closeouts

Our Aged .COM Domain Closeouts section covers some of the better .COM closeouts that were initially registered no less than 15 years ago, and are often older at 20+ years. This area continues to shrink in terms of overall quality and numbers, but there are still a few interesting aged domains here, starting with BatteryIntegration.com, Grocerware.com, TextAdvertise.com, VinylNoise.com, and WildlifeBarrier.com.
