LEEV.COM Hits $18K and 4KIDS.COM Plays to $15K USD to Lead Sedo’s Weekly Sales Recap

Sedo Weekly Domain Sales Recap

Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

This Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers public domain transactions from May 25, 2020 to May 31, 2020. We start off the .COM section of this recap with leev.com, which sold for $18,000 USD, and somewhat-surprisingly topped the entire Sedo chart. There were only two other domain sales that hit 5-figures, as 4kids.com and ketomix.com changed hands at $14,995 USD and 10,000 EUR, respectively.  There was a narrow range between .COM sale prices, and a few of the others that caught our attention were toolpay.com ($8,000 USD), venetic.com ($5,000 USD), qwrty.com ($3,500 USD), and sociables.com (2,300 EUR). In all, we counted a total of 45 .COM transactions of $2,000 or higher this week, which fits within the 49, 51, and 36 qualifier range of our prior three Sedo recaps.

The ccTLD section of our recap begins with the 3-letter sit.ai sitting on top with a price tag of $12,000 USD and smartbuilding.de completing the 5-figure selection at even 10,000 EUR. The 2-letter zr.ms stands out at an affordable 2,000 EUR, as do single-words like shop.gg ($5,000 USD), site.me ($4,999 USD), ride.in (2,150 EUR), and legends.co ($2,000 USD). Overall, this week’s chart featured 20 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (which sits in the range of 21, 25, and 18 similar transactions from the prior 3 recaps), with the country extension leaders sorting out in this order: .DE (8 listings), .ME (2), and then single entries for .AI, .BE, .CH, .CO, .CO.UK, .FR, .GG, .IN, .IT, and .MS.

The Other portion of the Sedo chart again leads off with a new gTLD sale, as amerika.info sold for 5,000 EUR and barely sneaked by the 3-letter yhg.net at $5,000 USD. After that it was a random selection of domain types, such as mirecovery.org ($4,999 USD), jako.biz ($2,800 USD),  medilog.net (2,500 EUR), and property.mba ($2,000 USD), with the old guard finally overpowering the young turks for a solid win in both the total domain number and total dollar value challenges. We tallied 9 domain sales in this week’s Other section, which rests just outside the 7, 6, and 7 transaction range of our last 3 weekly updates.
