Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

This Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers domain sales from August 27 to September 2. We begin our recap with a trio of 5-figure sales, including our chart leader square8.com selling for an even $20,000 USD, cloudbasket.com hitting 15,890 EUR and the hipster domain bboxx.com going for 10,000 EUR. There are several other interesting domains sales, like the foodie-based pair of wellkitchen.com ($7,700 USD) and foodstyles.com ($7,000 USD), as well as pronounceables like doxey.com ($5,000 USD), oovoo.com ($5,000 USD), ektor.com ($4,000 USD), and sucaso.com ($2,500 USD). Overall, we tallied 31 Sedo .COM transactions of $2,000 or higher this week, which is down slightly from both the 39 sales of last week’s chart and also the 37 Sedo qualifiers from two weeks ago.

Our ccTLD section of the Sedo chart has increased a bit from last week, but we’re still not back to double-digits yet. The domain jackpot.co accounted for our biggest sale at an even $10,000 USD, with fragrance.mx not far back at $9,999 USD and a pair of 4-letter .CO’s, lucy.co ($5,999 USD) and stak.co (5,000 EUR), coming in a bit lower. Overall, this week’s chart included 9 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (up from the 5 sales from last week but down slightly compared to the 15 qualifying transactions of the week before that), with the overall auction leaders sorting out in this order: .CO and .DE (tied with 3 listings each) and single entries for .AT, .FR and .MX.

The Other domain recap is a very short one, as there was only a single domain transaction in this category. The lucky devil was the single-letter domain a.company, which sold for $4,000 USD. This lone sale naturally represented a weekly chart decrease, as we counted 6 Other domain sales last week and 10 qualifying transactions from 2 weeks ago.
