Sedo Weekly Domain Sales Report

Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

Our Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers domain sales from November 5 to November 11. The weekly report begins with pickpack.com selling for $59,000 USD, making it the top domain transaction of the entire Sedo chart. This is followed by payen.com (25,000 EUR), esenses.com ($27,999 USD), hightea.com ($24,500 USD), and yal.com ($20,500 USD). In all there were 12 .COM domains that reached a 5-figure sales price. Another LLL also sold, as pxo.com went for $16,000 USD, while updraft.com sold for an even $10,000 USD. In all, we counted a total of 38 Sedo .COM transactions of $2,000 or higher this week, which is only one down from the 39 similar ones from last week, and another entry down when compared to the 40 sales of 2 weeks back.

The ccTLD section of the recap also starts with a big sale, as qrco.de hit $25,000 USD, but unfortunately it was the lone 5-figure sale in this area of the chart. Next up are chatbot.ch (5,990 EUR), mietrecht.de (5,000 EUR), osp.ch (5,000 EUR), and vipcasino.es (5,000 EUR), while some other notable transactions included the 2-letter pd.eu at 4,675 EU, the single-word share.cc  hitting 4,000 USD, and the 3-letter coi.me reaching $3,488 USD. Overall, this week’s chart featured 24 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (a nice jump from both the 17 sales of last week and the 19 qualifying transactions from the week before that), with the overall auction leaders sorting out in this order: .DE (8 listings), .CH (2), .CO (2), .CO.UK (2), .ES (2), .IN (2), and single entries for .CC, .DK, .EU, .IM, .ME, and .TV.

Last week we saw the Other domain recap’s sales number hit double-digits, but we’ve fallen back to the mean this week. The domain hypersonic.net led this section with a $5,000 USD sale, followed by shoe.cloud at $3,500 USD, and then a pair of .GROUP domains, with leo.group and plasma.group selling for 3,000 EUR and $2,938 USD, respectively. Pulling up the rear were a pair of .ORG domains, but it was too little too late, as for the first time in a long time, the Other section is evenly split between the old and new gTLD guard. This time out we counted a total of 6 Other transactions of $2K or higher, which is a drop from the 10 similar sales of last week, and a slight decrease against the 7 transactions from 2 weeks ago.
