Sedo Weekly Domain Sales Report
Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.
This Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers domain sales from July 23 to July 30. We start off with a quartet of domains that hit 5-figures, with haide.com leading the way at $18,000 USD, followed closely by solcasino.com ($15,000 USD), panafrica.com ($10,000 USD), and meko.com ($10,000 USD). This seemed to be the week for multi-words, and in addition to some of the above, we found storywell.com ($7,500 USD), worldwatch.com ($6,000 USD), fabplus.com ($5,950 USD), airportconnect.com ($4,900 USD), and casinofair.com (4,000 GBP), among many others. Overall, we tallied 36 Sedo .COM transactions of $2,000 or higher this week, which represents a slight increase compared to the 31 sales in last week’s chart but this is also a small drop next to the the 46 domain qualifiers from two weeks ago.
Our ccTLD section of the Sedo chart shows only one domain that hit 5-figures, as schulter.ch sold for 15,000 EUR (almost $18K USD). Other domain sales of interest include deutsche-wertstoff.de (6,000 EUR), besecure.be (5,000 EUR), deliveryhero.co.kr ($5,000 USD), and mould.co (3,999 EUR), and there was definitely a German (.DE) vibe to the entire ccTLD list. In all, this week’s chart featured 11 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (a very slight jump next to the 10 sales from last week but a noticeable drop compared to the 24 of the week before that), and the overall auction leaders came out in this order: .DE (5 listings) and single entries for .BE, CH, .CO, .CO.KR .FR, and .SE.
After a few weeks of increased activity, the Other domain recap has fallen back to Earth this week. The domain biotech.asia led the way at 10,000 EUR, followed by privacy.info ($6,000 USD), e-motion.net (2,500 EUR), and manybooks.org ($2,826 USD). And that’s all folks! These 4 entries to the Other domain sale list represent a drop from both the 9 similar transactions of last week and the 7 sales from two week ago.
