Sedo Weekly Domain Sales Report

Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

The Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers domain sales from June 25 to July 2. In the .COM section, we start off with a big transaction as koffer.com sold for a massive 75,000 EUR (just south of $90K USD), along with 3 other domains that hit 5-figures: spying.com ($25,000 USD), kga.com (21,000 EUR) and alsid.com ($13,500 USD). Other notable sales include mitrade.com hitting 7,500 EUR, as well as hireyourself.com and cene.com both going for $7,500 USD. In all, there were 42 Sedo .COM sales of $2,000 or higher, which is a small drop compared to the 45 transactions in last week’s chart but a larger decrease next to the 59 domain entries from two weeks ago.

The ccTLD section of the Sedo chart starts with a run on the netid (NetID?) term as netid.ch (10,000 EUR) and netid.at (8,000 EUR) held down the top two spots on the chart – there was also the domain sale of net-id.ch for 5,000 EUR. Other sales of note included boxt.de (7,500 EUR), jamb.it (5,500 EUR), fully.eu (4,853 EUR), solaris.ch (3,490 EUR), and routers.io ($4,000 USD). This week the chart posted 18 ccTLD domain sales that hit a price of at least $2K (up from both the 15 sales from last week and the 15 of the week before that), and the overall auction leaders came out in this order: .CH (3 listings). .DE (2), .IO (2), and single entries for .AI, AT, .CN, .CO, .CO.ZA, .ES, .EU, .IT, .KR, .NL, and .US.

The Other domain sales recap has fallen on more hard times, with only 4 domains reaching the fabled $2K limit, and only 2 of those (vcoin.net selling for 3,900 EUR and devcon.org hitting 3,700 EUR) representing the old guard. The other two Sedo qualifiiers in this section were the top-ranked gambling.pro at an even $5,000 USD and goya.club in fourth place at $2,888 USD. The Other domain sales are treading water this week, equaling the 4 domains that cracked the $2K USD ceiling last week, but remaining a big step back from the 10 sales of two weeks before.
