Sedo Weekly Domain Sales Report

Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

The Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers from June 11 to June 17 and there were 7 transactions that hit 5-figures USD, starting off with securechain.com at a very healthy $30,000 USD, nicely ahead of sitcon.com ($20,000 USD), sundoc.com ($12,000 USD), netregie.com (10,000 EUR), sofortpay.com (10,000 EUR), daten.com (9,999 EUR), and blocktags.com ($10,000 USD). The domain coinvestment.com barely missed at $9,860 USD, and these results at the top of the chart may point to a resurgence in the CryptoCoin/Blockchain market. In all, there were 59 Sedo .COM sales of $2,000 or higher, which is virtually equivalent to the 58 transactions in last week’s chart but represents a nice jump compared to the 44 domain entries from two weeks ago.

The ccTLD section of the Sedo chart begins with a very nice transaction, as onlinecasino.mx sold for 19,600 EUR and was the lone entry to reach the $2K USD level. The domain hack bit.ch came close at 8,000 EUR, and it was followed by flip.io ($8,999 USD), resano.de (6,000 EUR), way.fr (5,999 EUR), and 476.cc ($6,300 USD). Short was definitely the word of the week for ccTLDs, as there are 6 domains on the chart that are between 2 and 3 characters. After a bit of a down market last week, the ccTLD chart has bounced back with 15 ccTLD domain sales that hit a price of at least $2K (an increase from both the 8 sales from last week and the 13 from the week before that), and the overall auction leaders came out in this order: .DE (3 listings). .IO (3), and single entries for .AI, AT, .CC, .CH, .CO.UK, .FR, .IT, .MX, and .US.

The Other domain sales recap highlights .ORG making a bit of a comeback, with drivingtests.org ($15,000 USD) and ohmc.org ($12,500 USD) holding down the top two spots on the chart and mrla.org ($2,500 USD) showing up a bit later. The .NET extension also makes an appearance with oskar.net ($7,500 USD), jsl.net ($5,888 USD) and sitepro.net ($3,450 USD), while the remainder are new gTLDs. The most interesting of these are probably the single-letter domains o.work and x.work, which each sold for $2,500 USD. There were 10 Other domains that cracked $2K USD, up from the 8 last week and the measly 3 from two weeks ago.
