Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

This Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers public domain transactions from February 11 to February 18, 2019. We begin with the top .COM transaction of the week, as duobank.com sold for 30,000 GBP to lead the entire Sedo chart. This was followed by langkawi.com ($21,500 USD) and casinochance.com ($10,000 USD) as the only other 5-figure sales, while boxclub.com came very close at $9,199 USD. The rest of the list was a mixed bag of varying domain name types, with no definitive pattern in evidence. We had a name domain in berel.com ($8,200 USD), pronounceables like saly.com ($6,500 USD) and heuro.com (4,800 EUR), the 2-word happyelephant.com ($4,500 USD), the Crypto coincompany.com (2,950 GBP), and even the hyphenated repeating doc-doc.com ($3,300 USD). In all, we counted a total of 37 Sedo .COM transactions of $2,000 or higher this week, which compares to the 34, 46, and 45 similar sales from the previous 3 Sedo recaps.

The ccTLD section starts off with sail.me hitting $21,500 USD and matching the second-highest priced domain on the entire Sedo recap. Next up are sonnen.nl (10,000 EUR), préstamos.es (7,700 EUR), bewertung.ch (5,000 EUR), and petitionenligne.fr ($5,500 USD), but it’s very interesting that five ccTLD transactions in and we haven’t seen a .DE domain yet. Other domains of note include the 2-letter zf.co.kr ($2,500 USD), the 3-letter net.fi (3,300 EUR) and wgp.ch ($2,388 USD), and the single-words hiring.co ($3,553 USD) and pass.jp ($2,600 USD). Overall, this week’s chart featured 21 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (which we can measure against the 24, 13, and 13 sales from the last 3 weeks), with the overall auction leaders sorting out in this order: .DE (6 listings), .CH (3), .CO (3), .FI (2), and then single entries for .CO.KR, .ES, .FR, .IT, .JP, .ME, and .NL.

The Other section of our recap is another very short one, and represents the second week in a row that the new gTLD challengers have overshadowed the old school .NET/.ORG duo. Heading up our list is harvest.digital selling for 3,500 GBP and hotels.pro checking in at $4,000 USD, with the old guard entirely represented by yiersan.net, which sold for $3,500 USD. There were 4 total listings in the Other section this week, and this is similar to the 4, 6, and 5 sales of the last 3 weeks.
