Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

This Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers public domain transactions from April 1 to April 7, 2019. We start off the .COM section of the recap with our top sale of the week, as fusionbank.com sold for 50,000 GBP to lead all categories. This was followed by comscope.com (42,500 EUR), peche.com (30,000 EUR), hlio.com ($21,850 USD), exup.com ($17,000 USD), and jiker.com ($15,295 USD), while we close off the 5-figure domain sales with gojoy.com (12,000 EUR), lotterybank.com (10,000 EUR), and skribe.com ($10,000 USD). In all, we counted a total of 50 Sedo .COM transactions of $2,000 or higher this week, which compares closely to the 52, 42, and 48 similar sales from the previous 3 Sedo domain recaps.

The ccTLD section begins with the sole 5-figure sale in this area, as hampton.co.uk reached an even transaction price of 25,000 GBP. This was followed by mycamper.de (7,500 EUR), rowingblazers.es (6,500 EUR), vouch.io ($6,500 USD), mycups.de (5,000 EUR), and rowingblazers.com.mx ($5,000 USD). Overall, this week’s chart featured 15 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (which compares well to the 20, 20, and 14 sales from the last 3 weeks), with the overall country leaders sorting out in this order: .DE (5 listings), .CO.UK (2), .ES (2), and then single entries for .BE, .CH, .COM.MX, .EU, .IO, and .KR.

The Other section of our recap is another very short one, but it does start off with a bang, with the single-letter new gTLD/domain hack t.win selling for $22,500 USD and office.org coming in right behind at $22,000 USD. After that it gets interesting with values.org hitting 6,988 EUR, and we end the section off with a pair of new gTLD domain sales. That means the new guard outsold the old in terms of sheer domain numbers, with the .ORG contingent barely taking the overall dollar sales crown. The 5 total Other domain sales of $2K or higher is certainly not a great number, but it’s still not that far off the 3, 4, and 7 sales from the last 3 weekly updates.
