Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

This Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers public domain transactions from March 18 to March 24, 2019. We start off the .COM section of the recap with our top sale of the week, as kbet.com hit $43,530 USD to lead the entire Sedo chart. Next up we have a series of 5-figure domain transactions, including noxion.com ($20,000 USD), kaa.com ($19,999 USD), attractionpass.com (15,000 GBP), velas.com ($15,000 USD), decoratedlife.com (12,925 GBP), lasvegasnightclubs.com ($10,000 USD), and bcig.com ($10,000 USD). Some of the other notable domain sales highlight the Crypto-themed bitcoinplus.com at $9,999 USD, the two-word ordermade.com reaching $8,000 USD, and the phonetic efairs.com and betamo.com going for 4,900 EUR and $4,500 USD, respectively. In all, we counted a total of 42 Sedo .COM transactions of $2,000 or higher this week, which is down slightly from than the 48, 56, and 47 similar sales from the previous 3 Sedo domain recaps.

The ccTLD section begins with mobility.de selling for a whopping 35,000 EUR to place second on the overall Sedo rankings, but this was the lone ccTLD transaction to hit 5 figures. Short domain names seemed to be the trend of the week, as we had site.se (7,000 EUR), nvk.eu (6,226 EUR), pop.im (6,000 EUR), june.de (5,000 EUR), and lwr.nl (3,734 EUR), among many others, all changing hands and ranking high on the list. Overall, this week’s chart featured 20 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (which compares well to the 14, 20, and 22 sales from the last 3 weeks), with the overall country leaders sorting out in this order: .DE (6 listings), .SE (3), .NL (2), and then single entries for .BE, .CN, .CO.UK, .EU, .FR, .IM, .ME, .PT, and .RU.

The Other section of our recap breaks away from the recent pattern of new gTLDs challenging, if not surpassing, the old .ORG/.NET guard in terms of both the number of auctions sold and the overall dollar amount. This week we only have .ORG and .NET domains reaching the $2K barrier, with defi.org and stile.net both sporting $5,000 USD price tags to lead the section. There was a total of only 4 Other Sedo listings that hit $2K or more this week, which is still in range of the 7, 5, and 2 sales from the last 3 weekly updates.
