Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

This Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers public domain transactions from October 7 to October 13, 2019. We start off the .COM section of this recap with the 4-letter ntwk.com leading the way at a very healthy $49,999 USD, followed by a trio of additional 5-figure transactions that featured microbrewery.com ($15,000 USD), marketingadvisor.com ($12,450 USD), and salv.com ($10,000 USD). Other notable sales in the .COM section include a pile of pronounceable/brandable options such as revvi.com ($7,500 USD), techi.com ($7,000 USD), sinny.com ($5,000 USD), jenoa.com ($4,880), panq.com ($4,650 USD), and klaros.com (3,500 EUR), as well as a few single-words like toric.com ($9,999 USD), atropa.com (6,595 EUR), and salutary.com ($5,000 USD). In all, we counted a total of 39 .COM transactions of $2,000 or higher this week, which is the same basic range as the 41, 35, and 50 qualifiers from our last three Sedo recaps.

The ccTLD section has bounced back from last week and begins with tide.co.uk changing hands for a hefty 35,400 GBP, followed by three other 5-figure sales in grab.ai ($12,500 USD), omisan.de (10,000 EUR), and (in relative USD) campings.be (9,990 EUR). There were several 3-letter domains transactions on the chart, with ena.ca ($3,000 USD), taf.ch (2,950 EUR), pdg.eu (2,677 EUR), and taf.us ($2,000 USD) leading the way, alongside a few popular single-words like translator.io ($6,000 USD), avian.se ($2,500 USD), probe.fr (2,300 EUR), and copter.io ($2,200 USD). Overall, this week’s chart featured 22 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (which is up from the 12, 18, and 18 range of similar transactions from the prior 3 recaps), with the country extension leaders sorting out in this order: .DE (6 listings), .IO (2), and then single entries for .AI, .BE, .CA, .CH, .CL, .CO.UK, .COM.BR, .ES, .EU, .FR, .IN, .IT, .SE, and .US.

The Other section offers up a big surprise this week, as the top sale on the chart is sudoku.net at 42,500 GBP, which is effectively $55K in USD. After that it’s kind of a close race between the old and new guard, with each placing two entrants led by bonuses.org ($9,995 USD) and odds.bet (6,000 EUR). This also means that our weekly competitions were easily won by the .NET/.ORG contingent, as they took both the total dollar value and total domain number challenges. The Other section checked in with 5 total domain sales, which stays within range of the 6, 4, and 9 transaction numbers from the last 3 weekly updates.
