Sedo Weekly Domain Sales Report

Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

This Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers domain sales from July 16 to July 22. At the top of the .COM chart we have three domain sales that hit 5-figures, starting off with the overall chart leader, ivypay.com, which hit $22,000 USD, and following up with localhero.com at 16,000 EUR and videospace.com selling for $12,000 USD. A few came very close, including fscloud.com ($9,999 USD) and razerpay.com ($9,449 USD), while searchweb.com checked in at a very respectable $8,888 USD. Overall, we counted 31 Sedo .COM transactions of $2,000 or higher this week, which represents a drop compared to the 46 sales in last week’s chart but a slight increase next to the the 30 domain qualifiers from two weeks ago.

Our ccTLD section of the Sedo chart gets off to a good start, as hola.me sold for a very healthy $8,500 USD, followed by fragrancenet.mx ($6,999 USD) and litecoin.io ($4,250 USD – looks like a steal), along with plasticsurgery.in and kal.in, which each sold for $4,000 USD. This is a very diverse set of domain transactions, with special interest centering on litecoin.io, which could be a potential TM headache, but still looks like a very low price at just over $4K USD. In all, this week’s chart included only 10 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (a noticeable decrease from both the 24 sales from last week and the 16 of the week before that), and the overall auction leaders came out in this order: .DE (3 listings). .IN (2) and single entries for .AT, BE, .IO, .ME, and .MX.

The Other domain recap is starting to ramp up a bit, and our chart leader is from the newest of the new gTLDs, as host.app easily hit 5-figures at 12,000 EUR. But other than store.dental (3,490 EUR) a bit further down the list, it was back to the .NET & .ORG show, the highlights of which include hola.net ($5,000 USD), pwp.net ($5,000 USD), knpcdom.net ($5,000 USD), lattice.org ($4,499 USD), and tether.org ($3,578 USD). The Other domain sale recap checked in at 9 entries that reached at least $2K USD, which represents a small jump compared to the 7 domain sales that charted in each of the last 2 weeks.
