Sedo Weekly Domain Sales Recap

Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

This Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers public domain transactions from July 22 to July 28, 2019. We start off the .COM section of this recap with the top domain transaction of the week, as lgv.com sold for $35,000 USD to lead the entire Sedo chart. Next up we have a long series of 5-figure sales, including the prime single-word definitely.com changing hands at the seeming-low price of $19,500 USD, followed by 4dmedical.com ($17,500 USD), partypouch.com ($10,750 USD), bkind.com ($10,100 USD), victerra.com ($10,000 USD). remembermyname.com ($10,000 USD), and lepro.com ($10,000 USD). The other notable sales were highlighted by the 2-word rawlist.com ($9,880 USD), the hybrid connexit.com ($6,431 USD) and the unusual single-word magnific.com (4,000 GBP). In all, we counted a total of 45 .COM transactions of $2,000 or higher this week, and this compares closely to the 49, 56, and 37 qualifiers of last three Sedo recaps.

The ccTLD section begins with the lone 5-figure sale of onlinecasino.cl, which hit an even 10,000 EUR, and we follow this up with several high-4-figure transactions like blush.co ($8,500 USD), intim.de (8,000 EUR), generate.us ($8,000 USD), and psychic.co.uk (7,995 GBP). This week’s ccTLD trend is heavily concentrated on single-word domains, and in addition to the above-mentioned sales, we also have accountancy.uk (4,422 GBP), daddy.io (3,600 EUR), server.me ($3,000 USD), hostels.uk (2,800 GBP), aura.fr (2,500 EUR), magical.com.br ($2,500 USD), october.fr (2,400 EUR), and boats.fr (2,000 EUR). Overall, this week’s chart featured 21 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (which is on par with the 27, 17, and 22 range of similar transactions of the prior 3 recaps), with the country extension leaders sorting out in this order: .DE (6 listings), .FR (3), .UK (3), and then single entries for .CL, .CN, .CO, .CO.UK, .COM.AR, .COM.BR, .IO, .ME, and .US.

The Other section of our recap is a total departure from last week, where we saw the new gTLDs take over with a clean sweep of the area. This time there are only .NET and .ORG domains to be found, topped off by fiable.net at 12,000 GBP and goku.net checking in at 10,000 EUR. Unfortunately, there are only 3 total Other sales, which is higher than the meager 2 domains of last week, but still down from the 5 and 6 transaction range from our last 2 weekly updates.
