Each week, the online domain marketplace Sedo.com releases a list of their top public domain sales of $2,000 USD or higher (private sales are not reported). This chart is separated into three sections, the .COM domains, the ccTLDs (Country Code Top-Level Domains) and lastly, the Other domains, which represents the .ORG, .NET and other gTLDs.

This Sedo Weekly Public Domain Sales Recap covers public domain transactions from February 4 to February 10, 2019. We begin with the top .COM transaction, as pwa.com scored a huge win by selling for a cool $88,200 USD, while being followed by some other 5-figures sales like wealthcare.com ($30,000 USD), tablelights.com ($12,000 USD), whater.com ($10,369 USD), and naturalhemp.com ($10,000 USD). The remainder of the .COM list contained a nice mix of domain types from pronounceables like viewi.com ($5,000 USD) and courio.com ($2,999 USD) to word and multi-word domains such as functionally.com (7,000 EUR), makeorbreak.com ($7,000 USD), and findright.com ($3,000 USD). In all, we counted a total of 34 Sedo .COM transactions of $2,000 or higher this week, which compares to the 46, 45, and 42 similar sales from the previous 3 Sedo recaps.

The ccTLD section starts off nicely with lofis.de ($13,000 USD) going for 5-figures, along with other solid transactions like d1k.de (6,499 EUR), incubator.co (5,950 EUR), ferienimmobilie.de (5,500 EUR), forward.eu (5,500 EUR), and red.cl (5,000 EUR). As you might have noticed, it’s another .DE party going on and we’re all invited, but there were a few interesting dissenters like the 3-letter ith.eu (2,450 EUR), and the word domains swift.tv ($4,250 USD), dune.co ($2,500 USD), and ride.nl (2,000 EUR). Overall, this week’s chart featured a massive 24 ccTLD domain sales that reached a price of at least $2K (which we can measure against the 13 and 13 sales from the last 2 weeks, and the 12 sales of 3 weeks ago), with the overall auction leaders sorting out in this order: .DE (9 listings), .EU (3), .CO (2), .CO.UK (2), .NL (2), and then single entries for .AM, .CL, .CN, .IT, .TV, and .US.

The Other section of our recap features a small set of domain transactions, and we have another potential battle between the new and old gTLD guard. The top 2 sales belonged to rex.one ($5,000 USD) and odyssey.art ($4,100 USD), and while the other two were from .NET and .ORG, the overall dollar total favored the new gTLD contingent. These 4 total listings in the Other section compare to the 6 sales of last week, and also the 5 and 4 transactions from the two weeks before that.
